one of my goals this year is to begin the money fundraising. I was adding up how much it'd cost based on the rough sketch they give on teh CWA first planners thingy.. like before you sign with them they give you some numbers... I chose worse case scenario but only wiht like one return ticket.. as I hope to have such small children it doesn't matter...
Regardless, the amount I came up with is rounded up to just over 46000 USD. Now I know it is tacky to talk direct money, so I'm not asking how much you all paid, what I'm asking is this:
Is 46000 a "good" amount to shoot for in fundraising? I suppose I'm asking if that is a realistic amount.
1820 of that, mind you, is set in a 7 day stay in Moscow, 700 for a oneway ticket back for the children (only one ticket.. as I plan on having a lapchild and a seat incase) and 1000 for all my apostiling.
This is all pretty much worst case scenario money, but I wnat to be prepared and be happy to have a bit left over.
So those who have been there. Does 46000 seem a reasonable number in bringing home two children from Russian under the age of 3?

I didn't realize you were going to adopt 2 at once.
Not having completed ours yet I can't tell you from experience but I have heard that it is normally around $35K for 1. And I don't think the expenses are too much more for a second. Just the agency fees and such I would guess. So your estimate of $46K sounds pretty close.
That sounds pretty close, although when bringing home two kids, you will definitely want to purchase at least two return plane tickets. Just so you all have some room to move.
