I saw this randomly and decided to complete it.

A is for age: 21, almost 22

B is for book: Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

C is for career: Daycare teacher

D is for my dog's name: We don't have a dog, but we have two cats, Pearl and Zorra

E is for essential item used everyday: Uhm, I suppose a notebook

F is for favorite colour: My favourite colour by far is Purple.

G is for game: The Sims 2

H is for hometown: Louisville, KY

I is for instruments I play: French Horn, Trumpet, Piano, Recorder, Guitar

J is for favorite juice: Cranberry, Apple and Raspberry (Minuite Maid makes it, delicious!)

K is for who's butt I'd like to kick: At the moment? I suppose my cousins. We were to spend the day together looking out for stuff for a new apartment for me, and we did go out, for about 2 hours. We went to Wal-Mart to shop for her. I got shampoo. At the moment, she is at the top of my list.

L is for last place I ate: Hometown Buffet

M is for marriage: I am not married, I doubt I will ever be married. I am not good at relationships (I say that after only having one that meant anything to me, but I just don't feel up to having more if they all end in heartache.)

N is for my name: We will just stay with Hawk.

O is for overnight hospital stays: Far too many to count. The last one was a few months ago when I had food poisioning really bad.

P is for people I was with today: My mum and step-dad. My cousin earlier today.

Q is for quote: "The truth is rarely pure and never simple" (and now that I quoted it, I cannot remember who said it. Will edit later with the name of the dude.)

R is for biggest regret: Getting a credit card at 18.

S is for Sport: Softball, baseball.

T is for travelled to: Flordia, Iowa, Indiana, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Georgia.

U is for current underwear: Stripey ones

V is for vegetable I adore: Potato

W is for wish: To start the adoption process and finish it 3 times without a hitch before I'm 30.

X is for x-rays I have had: HAH! I grew up with two older brothers, let's start at the bottom and work our way up. Ankle (broke it a few times), both knees, right hip, spine (several times for various falls from trees), both arms (shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers), neck, and several CT scans of the head (a few concusions, a couple thought to be brain injuries (but they weren't)). I think I've broken every major bone once or twice. And my fingers/hands have really been xrayed, as I've broken every finger on both hands atleast 2 times, most likely 3 times, each.

Y is for youthful ambition not fulfilled: A forensic geneticist (I failed bio 101 at EKU.)

Z is for zodiac: Pieces

Timeline

Kim asked me what my timeline was in a comment, and as I'm learning that you can't really reply to comment, I figured the only way to answer this for her was post it, and hope she reads it.

My timeline at this moment is nothing compared to other bloggers. I will be 22 in Feb, and then still have one more year to go before I can officially adopt from Russia. Basically over this next year, starting the day after I turn 22, I will start fundraising. I am not rich, and am quite single (and honestly seeing it stay that way for quite some time), but this is something that I've wanted, needed to do, since I was little.

But after I hit the magic age of 23, I will start the official process. I am "agency shopping" right now, but have pretty much decided to go with Christian World Adoptions (CWA) as I've talked to a couple of people from there and they are willing to start working with me now, to make sure I'm very ready in just over a year for the official process.

As for kids, my first goal is twins. I always wanted to do just one kid first, but I'm afraid I'll never go back, especially if I have a difficult or costly first time, so I want to start with twins. Age wise - under 3, but I'm not picky.

But that is as much of a timeline as I have. just over 1 year before officially begining, then hopefully before my 24thb-day to bring home. I know along the way that will change and all that fun stuff, and I'm waiting for it to. Adoption is the goal, so I'm not all about sticking within limits I suppose.

But yeah, that's about it.

Christmas

Christmas season is rather lonely when doing it alone.

I have spent it this morning with my mum, and now we are off to my grandmothers, but I can't help but think that something is missing in my life. I do not have a significant other, I do not have a child, and come January I will no longer have schooling. Sometimes it is hard to face the reality of growing up, but then other times it's really easy to get lost in it all.

I have been reading my stint of blogs and I can't help but see how happy everyone is. It seems as if everyone on Blogger that I can find have already started (meaning atleast the first visit down) or completed their adoption process. No where do I see anyone like myself, who hasn't started nor ended but has begun the process. But I will keep out hope of it all.

Eventually I'm going to learn to do a blog roll and have all my blogs that I enjoy reading in one area, eventually I'm going to go out and meet people to call friends through adoption, but not today. Today I celebrate this season as the outcast of my family, basically celebrating it alone.

CWA meeting

I found out you only have to be 23 to adopt from Russia. If I can make it by 23, I will deffinately be there.

I signed up for a CWA (cwa.org) free seminar on Jan 13 in town. I am excited about this andthe opportunity it will present.

I am interested in adopting Twins, I wonder how easily that can be done. I was 4 total... hopefully the cost alone won't break me. Now off to find "friends" through blogger and set up a good support system.
