*snore*

It's 11:30, my brother is on his way over for Scrambled eggs and to "talk" about children... all I can think is that he's finally got his GF preggos... I'd laugh so hard if he did.. so hard... but I'd still help him take care of the kiddos (his GF is awesome, but is slowly going mental with the thought of her parents death a year ago in August.. they were killed on that flight that crashed at Bluegrass Airport off the short runway)... regardless... He says he wants to know about my plans for kids and talk about "who gets what name"... I know he wants Aubrey... IT is HIS middle name after all.. but I'll fight him for it!

Now I must make some eggs! Who knew eggs at midnight would become a family fun tradition... if only my other brother is with the middle one.. that'd be fecking awesome!

MRI and mothers

So in first news tomorrow is my MRI on my knee. My knee is a lovely size of a softball, impossible to bend and all and all just lovely. I am not excited about my MRI tomorrow and truely hope it is an open MRI, not a closed. My mum is going with me, which should make it all.. interesting.

I learned that today my family is a lot like the show "Brothers and Sisters" on ABC. We aren't quite as big, but we are just as dysfunctional... and we do know ho to laugh at eachother. I broke it down by personality types.

My oldest brother Tony is much like Kitty. He is the successful one who lives away, getting ready to buy his own house, very republican, very... just very independent.

Nick is a lot like the brother Thomas. He is very responsible, yet not so much. Has the gf who hopefully will be a wife (whereas Thomas has the preggo wife... not wishing that on my brother, lol), he is just very litteral, yet very much a momma's boy.

I get to be like Kevin, the gay brother. I am not entirely the gay brother, hands down, but I do support and fight for gay rights. But more than that, I'm the youngest, I'm the one who doesn't speak my mind, who gets stuck with everything, yet who finds comfort in my mum being around. IT's quite crazy to see my family on TV.

Speaking of my mother, she's driving me bonkers! She keeps talking about how she'll pay for AI (Artificial insemination) as long as I'd just give her a grandchild "before" she "dies". Sh'es so dramatic! I keep explaining that NO, I do not want to have children biologically until I've adopted, and possibly never. I never wanted bio children, it's just not me. I have no reason to add to the population when I can help children who are already in the population. But she doesn't get that an adopted child is just as much her grandchild like a bio child. She just wants something NOW.

Work is great, life is going pretty good, family is sill crazy and I broke down and called my father to wish him a happy Bday. Haven't heard anything back (not that I thought I would.. going on many years no conact unless forced.. so). I suppose I could have been the princess and sent him a lovely present, but I opted out of that.

Until later,

Hawk
